Our Projects
On this webpage, you will find the ongoing projects led by The Truth. We focus on providing support for individuals in situations of migration, prostitution, and human trafficking, particularly within the Nigerian community in Marseille. Our goal is to improve access to rights and healthcare for these vulnerable individuals by offering outreach actions, workshops on information, awareness and prevention, as well as sensitization and training for social workers, healthcare professionals, justice professionals, and law enforcement officers. We are also open to partnership proposals to continue helping those in need.
Beyond Borders: Support and Action Network for the Rights of Trafficking and Trafficked Persons.
Beyond Borders is a transnational network created to facilitate the sharing of information and experiences between Italian and French social and legal operators. The network aims to:
-
Enhance support for individuals in administrative processes and decision-making.
-
Understand the respective legal systems of the countries and the impact of the Dublin III Regulation on individual rights.
-
Raise awareness among public authorities about the needs of individuals supported by the network's member associations.
Within Beyond Borders, social and legal operators collaborate to provide concrete solutions to the challenges faced by trafficked and trafficked persons, particularly related to their movements across borders.
THE TRUTH and Nigeria
The Truth association wishes to launch a cooperation initiative with actors in Nigeria in order to work together on critical issues in the country. We were able to get in touch with researchers specializing in women's rights, as well as with the government agency NAPTIP which fights against human trafficking. We have also established contact with the chief Oba's secretary, who works on trafficking and seeks solutions to prevent young people from leaving the country due to the lack of opportunities.
Our goal is to drive lasting change by raising awareness about the risks associated with migration, human trafficking, and prostitution. We target a wide audience, including young people (including teenagers), people living in rural areas, local actors and parents.
We also organize meetings with key players such as associations, elected officials and traditional chiefs to cooperate on the fight against trafficking and the protection of the rights of women and children. Finally, we conduct outreach to reach people on the move and provide them with support and crucial information.
By working together with these actors, we hope to have a significant and positive impact on local communities in Nigeria. We are determined to make a difference at the source by working on sustainable solutions to solve problems in an effective way.
Work With Us
We firmly believe in the power of cooperation and partnership in the promotion of human rights and the fight against precariousness and exploitation. This is why we warmly invite other associations and structures working in the same field as us to join us and create a network of solidarity. By collaborating, we could exchange our knowledge, our skills and our resources to improve the visibility and the care of precarious populations in Marseille.
